This evening, the children learned all about the steel pan, a traditional instrument from the island of Trinidad and Tobago, and one of the sounds of summer.
After a brief introduction, the children got to play some music themselves.
The gentle melodic sounds drifted out of the auditorium and filled the Marymount air. And for a couple of hours at least, we were transported to the Caribbean.
